-A door slowly swung open, creaking as metal strained against the weight.-

The party within was more alive than ever. So many nobles and patrons had gathered this evening in celebration. For what exactly? There hadn't been a brochure on the subject and it would be left at that. A woman walked in and passively hurried away from him, blood thick orbs watching her without a second thought. It didn't bother him in the slightest. Her image being wiped from his mind on the next breath. Civilization. Its chaos is forever fascinating. Yet, none of it held importance when it came to socializing.

Vaddix stood outside the dual set doors as he peered inside, glancing over to the height of them and noting their shortness. This world was built for humans. None of which he had seen ever crossed the threshold of six feet. He wasn't that much bigger than the door. Just big enough that a heavy right hand set firmly against its upper header. A swift ducking motion as he stepped through, foot falling silently against the expensive floor. A single chime ringing out as his metal boot clicked.

"How extravagant."

A silent whisper to himself as his hands rose up to grip the inner seams of his leather vest. Four years out to sea left a taste in one's mouth, forgetting the beauty of tapestry flapping against stone. The land of Thisbe. A nation in which he knew nothing about, similarly this nation held the same notion. They knew nothing about him. He was a freak or even an exotic animal in their world. The corset across his torso tied neatly, deep red accents against matte black fabric. A dark crimson tie matched his suit in a flipped style, woven neatly around his throat.

He was a man of many tastes and held fashion as close to his heart as blood. There was admiration in his eyes despite the burning of awe and disgust in the crowd. Something in the crowd caught his attention, making his way whilst ignoring the masses. It glistened in the light baked in a silver veil, light flares cast upon stone as it shimmered along the walls. A sculpture of an animal, unknown to him as he stood there examining it carefully. It struck a chord inside his heart.

Glass shattering split the normal commotion of the party.

It brought the brute back to reality and he looked over to see a woman looking stunned. A servant or slave had crashed into her, spilling white colored wine over the cloth that concealed her body. It shattered at her feet and when the man fell, he ripped the left side of her Broccato Flora Silk dress. The incident made her slap at the fallen man, but her hands snapped to her side when she noticed the wardrobe malfunction.

Vaddix watched the small group as he left the sculpture, tilting his skull to the right as his left foot slid along the floor; carrying any glass away from her. The titan gave a graceful bow before the woman, chuckling as his left hand pulled the glove from his right; the opposite the action. "Ne volnuytes'."-Don't fret.- The way his deep baritones slid from his throat held a manner of softness. Gently, he moved the lady's hand from the rip, eyeing the gorgeous texture of silk upon her body.

"Da, four inch vertical snap, along the longitudinal line of its inseam."

His voice hummed as his head once again tilted, finger tips grazing delicately over the injury. "Difficult, net impossible." A smile spread over his rose colored lips as he blinked up at her. A broken glass of wine from the floor, shattered but still containing a fair amount of liquor. Vaddix swirled the jagged glass beneath his nose, inhaling it deeply and on his exhale a sigh left his body. "Mmm, Grüner-Veltliner. A wine dipped heavily in citrus, lemon, lime and grapefruit. Fermented to gorgeous satisfaction."

His tongue traced the serrated fire scorched sand glass, bringing it into his mouth. A swallow was all it took and the glass was returned to the floor. "Allow me, please. Inhale and hold, M'Lady." When she did he rolled both the abyssal colored sleeves up his forearms. The vast amount of brands lacing his right arm, all of them the same. -VR- Vaddix pulled a needle and purple colored thread from his jacket, weaving it around his left arm to act as a makeshift pulley. His fingers grabbed and tugged expertly at the dress, sinking needle and thread throughout its weaves.

A deep song radiating from behind slightly pursed lips as he mended that dress, glancing up at the woman as he set to work.

It had been a long time since Isla had been in the company of so many people all at once. She thought back to the last time she had to push through a crowd - and outside of the recent quake - it had been years. She never had a penchant for being very social, and large gatherings tended to give a spike to that behavior, so it was truly a miracle she had come to Solstice at all. That being said, she had made what were probably adjacent to promises to several people - her brother included - that she would make an appearance and begin to make amends.

Isla had no desire to start her evening with those relationship mending processes, however. She figured she could actually take it easy and feel out the Solstice events before that part of her life had to be addressed. As it were, she found it easy - and quite entertaining - to post herself at a drinking establishment and people watch.

Everything had been going just fine until someone ran into her. Her  immediate reaction was to grab whoever it was, but upon noticing it was a worker and not some idiot drunkard, she snapped back to reality, quickly covering her now exposed skin. Isla didn’t make it a habit to wear dresses, but she understood the events required a dressier look than she was accustomed to, and managed to find something that fit her well, while also complimenting her often hidden figure. Of course it would happen that she ruined it on the first night.

“What are you doing?” She asked, taken aback by the figure who had sidled up to her, his face at hip level as he moved her hand away from the tear. Again, her initial reaction was to injure him for just assuming he could do whatever it was he wanted to her. Isla’s speech and body stilled as he looked at the tear and began to…fix it? At this point she was more confused than anything else, eyebrows cocked upward in curiosity as he went to work, bypassing his oddity of licking her wine from the broken glass - everyone was strange in some way or another.

Isla watched as he continued to work, his scarred arms and fingers moving expertly to repair the fabric. It was impressive to say the least, especially coming from a man who looked as if he could break her in half with a single push of his finger.

“Do you make it a habit of repairing strangers' clothing, or am I just in the right place at the right time?” She asked, her previous drinks making her even more bold (if possible) than usual.
