New to Giralda, I see. Well, it takes all sorts around here. Take that shifty-eyed weasel by the fire.
Oh, he acts looks like a simple merchant, peddling meager wares, but watch what you say around him. The Empire’s got ears everywhere...
See those two there? They seem all chummy now, but that’s only because Var is trying to convince Jarek to desert the navy in Thisbē and join
those lawless bastards who sail from the Spice Isles. I’m sure that one will kill the other before the week is out, once they’ve got what they want from each other.
Then there’s always the usual mercs; bastards who’d happily kill their own mothers for a coin. Oh, they say those twins from Brelan aren’t so bad,
but a merc is a merc, and money is all they see.
At least there're no damned elves here tonight. One got uppity last month when I insisted the
bastard slept in the stables. A damn generous offer for a half-breed, if you ask me!
Mind yourself if you head into the Wilds. It’s full of things that
would happily eat you and shit you out without a second thought. Even the people who hunt those things are more beast than civil.
Anyway stranger,
what'll it be: a room, or a drink?

CURRENT MONTH: AUREL, 762
This month marks the transition from the scorching sun of summer to the cooling of autumn. The night skies become more magnificent as shooting stars are more frequent, and auroras dance across the horizon. Aurel is a time of harvest when the farmers gather the crops that cannot withstand the upcoming heavy rains of Nandir.

MAGIC
None marked
PSYCHIC BLAST - (Adept) She has the ability to cast a powerful psychic blast of light and energy that will explode, deal physical damage, and toss targets upon impact. The effects of the blast can leave targets mentally confused, concussed, seeing illusions that aren't truly present, or temporarily blind for five minutes.
PRECOGNITIVE - (Adept) She has the ability to foresee possible futures and observe what may happen. As knowledge of the future invariably causes that future to change, visions of the future are subject to frequent shifting. While not being able to select futures, these visions may assist in possible courses of action.
SECOND SIGHT - (Novice) She has the ability to learn information using sight outside the normal range of detection about an object, person, location, or physical event by touching or holding an item related to the subject they wish to obtain information on.
HEALER - (Master) Alwulae's blood is heavily enriched with regenerative properties, which keeps her constantly healed and in optimal health as long as she alive. This also allows her to heal herself or others using her life's essence to stimulate the molecules, renewing damaged cells in the body. If enough of her blood was given to another person, it could also help boost the person's healing process enough to restart their heart and repair any brain damage.
The use of her power does come with a draw back if she uses it to much, such as bringing someone back from the brink of death or healing multiple people in the same session. If this happens, fatigue sets in and she is left in a weaken state. During this time, she is unable to use any magic and the regenerative properties in her body are also weakened meaning any injury she sustains during this time physical or other illnesses won't heal unless treated by outside help.

BIOGRAPHY
As a young girl Alwulae's life was simple and mundane in the eleven city of Thyha Unarith. She learned of their culture, their language, weapons, court etiquette, and minor relations with mankind. It was a structured life, but a good life. Being the firstborn, Alwulae was pampered and allowed liberties that her later siblings perhaps wouldn't be allowed. Because of this, she became something of a brat, selfish and spoiled. Trisynore was closer to Alwulae more than her own sister and brother, and she followed her around where ever she went. Trisynore was a servant and she was into things that many girls weren't, and she enjoyed adventure and danger more than she should have and Alwulae admired that. A growing young rebel, Alwulae went against the norm and soon became a little prankster.
Alwulae and her friend pranked the nobles and servants alike. They pranked the guards and they pranked the workers. No one was safe from the duo and their pranks went on for as long as they desired. The only punishment the girls suffered was having to listen to their elders talk about how unladylike they were. However, over time the pranks stopped as the girls finally got bored. Time only strengthen their bond, and Alwulae thought nothing of the difference in their stations. Trisynore had saved her from a childhood of loneliness and ever since then, she had been a true friend.
From a young age, Alwulae showed signs of being very intelligent and perceptive. Even though she was much younger, she seemed to be on par with the older children in every way, except perhaps maturity. Once she was older and just reaching her teen years, Alwulae started to develop powers. The child showed the power of divine sight, along with a few other magical talents. Alwulae had an understanding of the way of things that no child otherwise possessed, and even many adults.
With her already high intelligent state of mind, the girl started to predict events, and explain past ones as divine interference or retribution. Word got out, as it normally did in such instances, and people started to visit to speak with her. Believers, nonbelievers, scholars and the like, elves from other cities came to speak with the little seer, and from that moment her childhood was never the same, never normal. She was questioned on various things, not just prophecies and divine teachings, but cultural differences, bridges and gaps, as well as things of a more personal note.
It wasn't long before people started to question what she really was. She appeared normal, but it was speculated that she had been touched by divine hands, or was a demi-goddess herself. Thrust into the blinding spotlight, Alwulae did what she must, what was expected, and took life as it was. However, with so much in front of her, all the questions and pains of the world, the teenager shied away, and many times was found frolicking in the wilds.
By the age of eighteen, Alwulae was offered and announced as the new seer of the court of Thyha Unarith. This duty was taken graciously, with humility and a great deal of nervous energy. Every since she was a small child, and showed signs of intelligence beyond her years, Alwulae had been watched closely, and now all eyes were upon her. It was flattering and scary all at the same time.
All her life Alwulae had steered clear of the politics of the court and the machine seemed fully capable of running itself without her involvement. There was peace at the time, however, what ever struggles occurred before that point held little meaning in her life. At the most, she appeared at events, dinners, and other gatherings as it was custom. Alwulae had very strong opinions about the court, their rules and politics but she held her tongue. Her parents, as she saw them, were a prime example of the ignorance that was slowly killing them all. But the little seer was no match for the all-powerful court and so she remained silent.
That all changed when Alwulae saw a vision and predicted the fall of their city. There was much worry and fear, but that fear turned to outrage when the seer named the court as the reason behind the fall. The court turned on her instantly, and soon the people followed. Alwulae was stripped of her title and shunned. The family went into hiding and closed themselves off further from the world around them. Life at court had always been sheltered, but now the young elf was a captive in her own home. Trisynore had decided to stay with Alwulae rather than return to her own family, but after weeks without them she started to miss them. Trisynore left the seer the next early morning to seek out her family and didn't return for days.
During that time, other elves arrived on her doorstep, people who claimed to sympathize with her. They claimed they still believed her to be the true seer, but it was all a lie. They were a rough and angry bunch, and wanted someone to vent their anger on. One even while she was alone in the forest, they captured and bound her hands with chains and blindfolded her to keep her from using magic. Her beautiful gown was ripped up and when she tried to scream they slapped her around roughly before loading her into a coffin.
What happened afterwards she could not say, only that she was taken away by wagon for a long trip before it stopped. Alwulae feared the worst and she had no idea where she was but then something happened. The seer had another vision of a calamity of greater importance than Thyha Unarith. When she awoke, she was very surprised to see the faces of Trisynore and her elder brother when the coffin was opened. The two had been on their way to visit her, when they witnessed the attack from afar and followed the attackers and ambushed them.
Alwulae was happy to see her friends again, but she knew that she couldn't return home. The vision she had told of a dark future of all elf kind, and she had to find a way to stop it.
