Midsummer festivities were well under way by the time that Andrew and Morris reached it. He was not too surprised that they had arrived late, especially since a flash flood had delayed them. Looking around, it lifted his mood to see such cheer. After the flood...well, his mood had dampened some. Not even the discovery that he could somehow use magic was enough to have him in his normal mindset. A lot had clicked into place on that day, both concerning and well...worrisome. 

Andrew adjusted his weight and glanced back at his ship. It had survived both an earthquake and a flood now, a sturdy gal to be sure. Soon his deep blue gaze wandered to Morris. His best friend, but... Morris cared for him more deeply than that, and Andrew knew he couldn't quite return that level of care. Not that he didn't like Morris, just...not in that way. Yet, he hadn't found the words to say to explain it. Maybe he would before the festival was over, but for now he would enjoy his friends company while it lasted.
