Percival has hidden his magic ever since he discovered it, honing it to a hidden blade in his arsenal. He can telepathically communicate with animals and instil a sense of trust between them, essentially placing himself as the head of their pack/herd. The longer he spends with the animal the more they adapt to his way of thinking and he will be able to communicate more complicated concepts to them. All of his animals know to return to his only permanent store-front in the Merchant Quarter of Noria if they're abused or injured in some way.

Percy is well known throughout Giralda as a wandering merchant selling exotic animals as status symbols and lifelong companions alike. His prices are reasonably high but not outrageous considering he goes out personally to capture and inspect every animal available. Guaranteed to be healthy and well behaved, buying one of these exotic creatures is well worth the money. The only catch is that any animal that becomes neglected or abused will somehow vanish from the buyer's home and find themselves back in Blackwood's possession with no evidence of wrongdoing or criminal activity. The buyer in question will also be quietly blacklisted and shunned by Percival and his peers for daring to harm one of his beloved creatures. Despite the incredibly rare nature of several of his animals, his own life-long companion is nothing more than a horse; a gorgeous solid black specimen with flowing mane and tail, to be sure, but a simple horse nonetheless.
