This is expected to be a lengthy campaign of threads as characters learn about the curse and endeavor to reverse it.

This plot will kick off during a site event toward the end of the next in-game month, so you have plenty of time to work up a new character or decide which existing character you want to use, and take care of any loose ends before then.

Valborn (literally: born of Valefor - an ancient demon “from a time when only gods and demons ruled”) are the subject of many stories throughout the world. Known by many names, every culture has some variation of these lycanthropic beasts in their oral traditions.
In the present age, these tales have been widely regarded as [dark] fables to scare children into keeping to their curfews or straying too far from home.
Although the Elves continue to diminish from the world, their stories of the Valborn are among the most well-preserved and have changed very little over time. Moreover, those that still keep to the old ways are brought up to know that these creatures are (or were) very much real. There have been no confirmed sightings since the Second Age. Elvish writings describe the last known Valborn, the alpha, as being unkillable but eventually imprisoned by powerful magic deep within the earth.
