This site rated 3-2-3, with moderate limitations on graphic content to stay within Proboards TOS. Members should be 14+. If you are under 14 and join anyway, please be advised that we are not responsible for what you might choose to read or write.
Always be respectful of what your writing partners are comfortable with. Threads with mature content should have labels in the title or thread description (ie., [TW][CW]) and an OOC note in the initial post to explain what the warning is for.
REGISTRATION
1 account per character. Parent/OOC accounts are optional. Usernames can be anything you like but please make sure the display name (which can be edited in profile settings) is the character's first and last name with proper capitalization. Characters are not required to have a surname unless there is already a character with the same first name.
FACE CLAIMS
RL folks preferred but not required. Art should be realistic or semi-realistic & artists must be credited. We do not have restrictions on character age relative to the age of the claim because some races age differently, however, faces should be at least 13 unless otherwise approved by an Admin. | Please use your best, most believable, and respectful judgment when choosing a play-by.
ACTIVITY
Being that we are all at the mercy of RL & muse, we are 100% happy to work with whatever activity level your life allows. As such, we do tend to be a slower-paced site in order to accommodate everyone's schedules. Please communicate about when you’re unable to post - you’re not obligated to provide a reason, just let folks know if there’s a slowdown on your end.
In group threads, after 5 days, your fellow roleplayers reserve the right to move on without you and your characters, move on while dragging your characters along, or to pause the game at their own discretion.
ACTIVITY CHECKS
We don't have 'em! About quarterly, the staff will quietly go through and archive the inactive accounts and threads. We rarely delete anything, so if you should disappear and wish to come back, all you need to do is contact the staff to reactivate.
CHARACTERS
You are welcome to play as many characters as you can handle. Please aim to establish a character in at least 1 IC thread and post in 2 plotters before creating an additional character.
Staff reserve the right to deny applications on the basis of excessive serial character creation & inadequate activity of previously accepted characters.
APPLICATIONS
You may begin roleplaying before you write your app. Please refrain from using magic until your character has been approved by the staff. Application additions & edits may be made at any time to incorporate in-game events, relationships, chronic injuries, new ideas, etc. Please alert the staff to major changes you might make (after initial approval) to a character's bio so that the new material can be reviewed.
The templates provided are optional.

No word count - just write what your muse allows. <3
Plagiarism will not be tolerated.
No godmoding. No metagaming. No powerplaying without express consent from your writing partner to do so.

COMMUNITY
We are a welcoming and friendly community here at DHP. We want to create a safe and fun environment for our members to enjoy RP and each other's company. As such, Admin on DHP do not tolerate harassment of any kind, bullying, racism, sexism, threats, etc toward any other player on the site outside of roleplay. We take this very seriously, and as such there will be no warning and a slap on the wrist if you do it once. If you are found to be behind any such attack toward another member, you will be banned from the site and the site's discord.
GRAPHICS
Hovers should be 250x350. Avatars should be 100x100. Signatures are optional, but should not exceed 500x400.
