Vaiva has her own code for being a thief:

1. Never target people who can't afford to lose a few coins.
2. Don't steal from others in the "trade".
3. I'm only in it for the money.
4. Never run the same con twice.


For the most part, this formula is good and keeps her out of the worst trouble. She's safe on the streets. among the small folks (most of the times anyway). Or don't need to be on the look out for other thieves (but of course there is rivalry and jealousy). 

Enemies / ANTAGONISTIC

Romantic

When she's drunk enough and feeling lonely she do occasionally hook up with someone.

She had a short, intensive relationship with a thief named Salamander. But their relationship came to an abrupt end when he abandoned her during a thieving spree and sure... she was caught by the city guards and had to spend some time in a cell. She hasn't seen him since and doesn't want to. She probably has a lot of unprocessed feelings left there... but she won't admit that, not even to herself. 

She is afraid of being hurt and taken advantage of, so she tries to avoid any romantic situations. Because Vaiva has a hard time trusting anyone, because in a thief's world everyone steals and combined with the fact that she gets jealous easily, she is probably not anyone's first choice.

Some ideas: I would love a enemies-to-lovers plot for Vaiva, that could be Salamander or maybe another person that she don't like. A one night stand that who may have developed feelings and want to take their relationship to the next step. 

Other

She considers the other thieves she grew up with, from the Father of Thieves lot to be her family. Father of Thieves is the only father- and mother figure she ever had in her life. And the other thieves are the closes to what she would call her brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts... and even partners or lovers.
