The summer heat swells to nigh unbearable. Nights do not bring the same relief they did before the solstice. Rain is extremely rare. If it rains at all, it comes in short intense bursts; hardly enough to soak the ground. Droughting and wildfires are commonplace in lowlands.
Januray 2023 The site month has changed! Old & new Solstice threads may still continue at your leisure. + The Forsaken Temple campaign has started! The opening thread can be found in Brelan. This is set with enough time after Solstice events that characters will have no issue doing both.

Her mother Fang was once merely one of several concubines belonging to the Emperor, able to slowly work her way up in life to the point of becoming Empress when the previous Empress failed to produce a single heir to the Empire. With her sister as the potential Queen of Thisbe, Luying followed her sister to Thisbe in hopes of finding someone that could fill the space of her former lover, a guard, who was killed during an attempt on her life. She hadn’t made it publicly known, or even told her family of her preferences, or of her former lover. The only one who knew was her older sister, Meng Yao– and even then she didn’t know about everything.
Now that Luying is in Thisbe she has many chances and opportunities to find a suitor… whether that be a woman, a man, or some other creature was up to her. Since she wasn’t the eldest she needn’t worry about pleasing their parents.
